Another good size piece. I been following the pieces to the south.
Found pieces from the canopy about hunderd yards south of the crater.
Piece of a wiring harness.
Looks like a little actuator.
This is the largest piece I found at this crash site.
After looking around for over an hour, I found this piece with the part number 7610497... The prefix of 76 confirms that this was a F-104.
While heading back to the truck found this area with a lot of small pieces scattered round. When I first starting hiking, I told myself that I would look around for a couple of hours before giving up. Was surprised when I started finding stuff after a short time.
