Not sure what this vent is used for, but guessing that it's to dump fuel.
I was able to turn the tail upright.
A look inside. The tubing on the lower left is connected to the vent.
There wasn't any paint on this side, it must have ended up like I found it.
The serial number was clear on this side. This tail section is from the F-86E #51-12980, the student's aircraft, he survived the mid-air.
