Closer look at the pulleys.
Still finding a lot of small pieces scattered around while looking for that "X".
It took some searching, but I was able to find the "X".
Moving closer I could see that the "X' was actually a cross. Must have been placed here for the instructor pilot, 1st Lt Edward H. Webster who was killed in the mid-air flying the F-86A #49-1267.
At the bottom of the cross was a piece from one of the leading lead slats. It had rocks on it, looks like it was placed there by the crash clean up crew.
Looking down from above the cross to the tail section which is the white dot near the center of the photo. It was a good climb to get here.
Moving along, I was still finding a lot scattered wreckage.
I never seen anything like this before. Someone gather up a lot of pieces and covered them with rocks. Give me a strange feeling, looked like a grave site.
