This is the windshield that sits verticaly in front of the canopy.
Didn't take long to follow the pieces to the crash site. Lot of stuff, looks like the whole plane is here.
The impact spot is in the center of the photo. The fin and rudder are wedged between the rocks.
Behind the rock with the fin is a large section of one of the wings. To the right are one of the tailplanes and the rear section of the engine above it.
Past visitors have collected some parts a set them on this rock.

The F-105D Thunderchief was armed with a M61 Vulcan 20mm cannon. The gun was gone, but there were a lot of bullets and some exploded shells remaining.

When a first came upon the site, I noticed the number on the fin. From this side only the 00 can be seen. I wanted to try and see if the number was on the other side.
