Mount for the right tailplane.
A third and the largest piece of Pratt and Whitney J75 engine that powered the F-105.
It's the tail end of the engine with the afterburner combustion chamber and variable nozzle.
Side view. The afterburner chamber was crushed to a fraction of it’s original length.
Closer view of the accordioned afterburner chamber and smashed nozzle.
This part was sticking out the back of the nozzle when it should be in the front end of this part of the engine.
This section of the left wing was the largest piece of wreckage at the site.
The flap was still attached. The camouflage paint job could still be made out on a few pieces.
Close up of the flaps hinge assembly. This is all that's attaching the flap to the wing.
