I been wanting to to do Corkscrew Peak for a while, unfortunately we had rainy weather which ruined what must have been a great view. The hike was still a lot of fun, but like to do it again with better weather.

Jay, Kathy, Brian, Sooz and Joe(me) at the start of our hike to Corkscrew Peak. It was raining and there were low clouds. We knew Corkscrew Peak was there, we just couldn't see it.
Checking out a cactus near the start of the hike.
Making our way up a small canyon. We didn't know it at the time, but we were going up the wrong canyon at this point
It didn't take long to start over heating. Short break here to adjust clothing.
At this point we knew that we were in the wrong canyon. We could see the right one below. It's a lot harder to find your way when you can't see where you are going.
There were a lot of these along the hike. Must have took 20+ photos of them.
Following a ridge down into the right canyon. We should have been in the big wash below.
We had to climb down these rocks to get down to the wash.
The going was a lot easier when we got on the right path.
We knew that we were in the right canyon, but not sure where to start up to the summit. A short way up from here, we came upon some ducks that marked the way up.
