Friday night we camped at the abandon trailer park just off the 190. Pyramid Peak in the back is in view from our campsite.

The first section is a 2.5 mile hike with a 800 foot gain that will take us to the ridge we will follow to the peak. We are heading for the low spot on the ridge.
After about two miles we reached the start of the canyon that leads to a ridge.

The first section of the ridge had this black rock. It was steep, sharp and hard to pick a path through.
