Saw a lot of wild flowers in Greenwater Valley on the way to the trailhead for Smith Mountain. I drove in the day before and spent the night at the trailhead.
The next morning the others arrived. This hike starts in Gold Valley.

The hike started off with a one mile hike to the base of the canyon.
