I originaly planed on going to Mammoth this weekend, but my friend that was going with me got sick so I decided to do a solo trip to Death Valley instead. Wanted to climb Ubehebe Peak after trying it last year and going up the wrong peak.
This is the place I stayed Friday night in the Funeral Mountains. That's Corkscrew Peak in the background.

On the Racetrack Road. It's about a 27 mile drive to Racetrack. The trail to Ubehebe Peak starts at the lakebed next to the Grandstand.

Some of the folks that past by here hang teapots on the sign. When I was here last year, there was twice as many of them.
