Boulder Peak & Whitecap Mountain 10/14/06 : Met Sooz and Bill at Olancha Friday afternoon. We did a short hike in the Coso Range before finding a place to camp for the night. The next morning we drove to Cactus Flat were we met up with Cori and Tom for the hike to Boulder Peak and Whitecap Mountain.

Centennial Canyon, Jurassic & Scattered Bones Peaks 5/5/06 & 5/6/06 : Hiked Centennial Canyon on Friday with Sooz. The next day Cori (Snow Nymph) joined us for the hike to Jurassic and Scattered Bone Peaks.

Joshua Tree - Spectre Point 11/12/05 : Hiked to Spectre Point in Joshua Tree Nal't Park with Kathy. This was my first hike in six weeks due to catching a bad case of acute bronchitis that cause me to miss three weeks of work. It was hard doing the hike, but I was glad to be able to hike again after being sick for so long.

Boundary Peak (Almost) 6/25/05 : On this hike Kathy got within 200' of the summit while I stopped at a saddle 1000' below. There was still plenty of time, but a bad thunder storm moved in. It was the first time I actually felt electricity on me from a thunder storm and I don't ever want to feel it again. This was the most fear I ever felt in the mountains. It will take a lot less to turn me around next time. Lightning is not to play with.

Squaw Peak 6/11/05 : Met Sooz and John at Papoose Flat for the hike to Squaw Peak. This was my first time in this area. Really nice place, like to return one of these days and spend more time there.

Waucoba Mountain 5/21/05 : Waucoba Mountain at 11,123' is the higtest peak in the Inyo Mountains.

Crater Mountain & Mono Lake 5/7/05 & 5/8/05 : Hiked to the the top of Crater Mountain which is one of the Mono Craters. The next day I visited Mono Lake which is just north of the craters.

Anza-Borrego - Sunset Moutain 3/26/05 : Met a group of friend in Anza-Borrego for a weekend car-camp. A few of us hiked to the top of Sunset Mountain. We got lucky on this trip and had a great year for flowers in the aera.
