Tried this hike last year, but got chased off the mountain by a lightning storm. Made it this time.
Driving on Hwy 14 Friday afternoon on the way to hike Boundary Peak.
Stopped at Red Rock Canyon to take a few photos.
It's a great looking place, but I've only seen the area next to the highway.
Want to come back in the winter and spend a day looking around, to hot now.

Couple of miles into Nevada, we turned on to the road that leads to the trailhead.
