The windmills near Palm Springs. When I see these I know I'm getting there.
Sooz up ahead on the road into Joshua Tree's south entrance. We came across each another on the 10 freeway.
Joe (me), Sooz and Kathy at Cottonwood Spring, our hike started from here 3,200'.
The first 2 miles of the hike were on a trail.
After a couple of miles we left the trail. We headed southeast XC to the base of a canyon, there we will set up our camp.
Looking northeast, it will be about a 1 1/2 mile hike from the trail to our camp site.
Getting closer to the base of the canyon. We will folow the canyon up to Ealge Mountain.
We got into some big rocks as we neared the canyon's entrance.
