I drove in the night before and spent the night a few miles from our meeting place. I'll being doing this hike with a group from the San Diego Hikers.
At the meeting spot, the group saying their hellos and working out a plan for the car shuttle.

In a short time we reached the first palms.
The palms were thick in this area. It was difficult picking a path through them.

It was nice and cool in the palms, it warmed up when we started up the steeper sections.
