Hiking > Joe Idoni  > Sierra Mountains > Mount Morgan 9/2/06
Tried this hike solo the week before, but had a late start, picked a bad route and ended up in a boulder field. On this try I was joined by Kathy and we were able to find a fairly easy route to Mt Morgan's 13,748' summit.

Francis Lake. We used the clear area on the slope to climb up to the ridge. Last week I followed the canyon up and ended up on a boulder field.

Francis Lake again from the inlet side. The lake is just past the half way point in distance, but at 10,900' it's only about a quarter of the way in altitude.
