Driving to the Whitney Portal out of Lone Pine to hike up Thor Peak. The hike will start on the main Whitney Trail till I reach the North Fork of Lone Pine Creek, then following the creek trail to Lower Boy Scout Lake then up to Thor Peak.

This is where the North Fork of Lone Pine Creek crosses the trail. A trail comes off the main trail here and heads up the North Fork. This is the trail to the Whitney Mountaineer's Route, it's also the route I'll take to Thor Peak.
A short way up the trail I found this sign. They what you to pack out your poop.

This was my first time on this trail, only saw four other folks the whole day on it.
Saw this cool looking Scarlet Tanager, but it was to far away to get a good photo.
