Our hike to Timosea Peak started at Walt's Point on the Horseshoe Meadow Road. We parked just above Walt's Point to leave room for the hang glider pilots to set up their wings.
Joe(me), Cori and Tom at the start of the hike at about 9,200 feet. We will be loosing altitude on the hike to the peak which is at about 8,650 feet.
Looking down the ridge that we will follow to the peak which is the second bump from the left.
View down Slide Canyon to Owens Lake.
We hiked down at the start to avoid the rocky ridge on the first half of the hike.
Looking back up at the Horseshoe Meadow Road.
Still heading down. Tom lead the way on this hike, he attempted it a short time ago and had to turn around when he ran low on water.
As we hiked on, Wonoga Peak came into view. Also the hang gliders can be seen setting up on the left end of the road.
Zoomed in on the hang gliders at Walt's Point.
