The F-105D #60-0532 crashed on 10/14/68 after the pilot lost control of the aircraft. The pilot was able to eject safely. Found out about this site from Tom Gosset who visited it a couple weeks ago. He plans on continuing a search for a UC-78 Bobcat that's in the area after showing me the location of the F-105D. The F-105 crash site was rediscovered after a fire burned through the area in 1992.
Driving in on the dirt road off Hwy 14. Plan to meet up with Tom G further up the road.
This is the only tag I found. It confirms that it’s a F-105D, but already knew that. There is a contract number of AF33-600-38927. Don't know how to use the contract number to help figure out a S/N or group of S/Ns.
