We were surprised to find a hot spring and two large ponds in the middle of nowhere. This area is called The Crossing where four dirt roads meet up.
There were a few birds at the pools. This is a Yellow-headed Blackbird.

Then came the fireworks. When we stopped in Dyer for gas, we picked up some to celebrate Sooz's B-Day.

The next morning Cori showed up for the hike to Blue Dick Peak. It's snowing again.
The snow started during the night. The group decided to wait it out to see if it stops before starting the hike.
It did stop snowing. I wasn't into doing the hike and hung around camp. The rest of the group is ready to go.

Cori and Tom were going to stay and hike another peak. The rest of us were heading to the town of Big Pine for breakfast.
