Taking a breather near Tahquitz Meadow.
Came across Steelaway, a PCT through hiker, heading north. Talked with hinm a while.
The trees were full of ice. The whole day, the ice was melting and falling out of the trees. I think we all got hit by falling ice.
Looking back, the first sign of clouds.
At the DV3 camp. We already set up camp and are getting ready for the hike to Antsell Rock.
The trees around camp were full of ice, it was all gone the next morning.
Antsell Rock is somewhere in the clouds.
This is just before the start of the climbing section to the peak.
Starting up the north ridge of Antsell, just getting into the clouds.
The clouds cleared for a few seconds and we got our first look at Antsell.

There was a lot of rime ice as we neared the class 3 climbing section.
The bottom of the crack we climbed.
Gabe and Roy start up the crack.
Sooz and I followed. When we first saw this route, we didn't think it was climbable due to the ice, but all the foot and hand holds were dry.
Looking down from summit, Sooz (blue) almost there and Roy descending after summiting.
A happy Sooz with the register.
Looking back at Antsell as we hike back to camp. We're wet and cold from all the melting ice on the brush that we climbed through. Soon as we got back to camp, we changed into dry clothes and got a fire going.
Next morning, warming up by the fire.
Gabe with a sausage on a stick.
Bruce packing his tent.
Sooz checking out the view.
Ed relaxing before the hike out.
Group shot at DV3 camp, ready to hike out.
Looking back at Antsell Rock (middle peak) clear day, All the ice that was in the trees is gone.
Zoomed in on Antsell Rock. Need to do this one on a clear day.
We dropped our packs and did a side trip to Tahquitz Peak.
On the lookout tower on Tahquitz Peak.
Packs back on, ready to head to Saddle Junction and down to Humber Park.
After the hike, food and a beer in town before the drive home, great hike.
