Driving on Chaney Trail Drive A light rain started as I neared the paring area.
Looks like the rain didn't stop some people from hiking today.
Picnic area next to the parking lot.
From the parking lot, followed the fire road about a hundred yards to the Millard Campground.
The trail head is just past the campground. Not much water flowing in the stream, but was happy that it wasn't dry.
At the trail head, it's only a half mile hike to the falls.
A small check dam near the start of the hike.
Fungus on a log.
Most of the short hike is on a trail, but there is a little rock hopping in places.
There was some poison oak in places, but it's easily avoidable.
My first view of the falls was thru the trees.
Took about fifteen minutes to reach the fifty foot high falls. Not much water flowing this time of year. Would have been nice to be here a couple months ago after the heavy rains.
Closer view of the small pool at the bottom of the falls.
Another view before hiking out.
On the hike out. Starting to rain a little harder now.
Tried getting a photo of a grey squirrel, but was only able to get his tail as he ran off.
Back at the campground. Nice little hike, the rain made it fun.
Shot a short video. Made the mistake of trying to stop the glair on the lens, but only ended up put my hand in front of the lens.
